ABOUT JADE GARDEN
Our small business is led by Lorena Mardones, who started it with the goal of working independently and in her area of expertise. Lorena holds a degree in Forest Engineering from the University of Concepcion in Chile and a Master’s degree in Forest Science, which has given her expertise in the growth and development of plants in different soil conditions. Before moving to the USA, Lorena worked as a researcher in Chile and Colombia. However, it was here where she discovered her passion for landscape design. She has taken several courses in the Native Plant Center at Westchester Community College since she is deeply interested in promoting the planting of native plants and creating ecological gardens with them..
